I pass this building 10-20 times a year. Every time I recoil in disgust at the window placement. Now for the first time, YOU TOO can experience this!
Don’t zoom in, it gets infinitely worse when you look at the details.
Oh and bonus points for guessing the car?

The only way this is acceptable is if it was built to piss off the neighbors

59 Buick?
Everything about that building looks hideous and shoddy, not just the windows.

Whats under the cover?
any random scaffolding bits lying around? I know someone who built their barn with all random stuff left over from construction jobs.

If the weird left one was moved all the way left, and the weird right one was move to where the weird left one was, I could sort of see it, because it would match the roof angles. But as is, it is just horrible.

That’s a very real possibility. I’ll probably never know though.
And no idea, but they had a baby blue first gen Bel Air parked behind the garage

Ohhhh. Someone with better photoshop skills than me should make a blank version of the building. We can “drag and drop” the windows to see who makes the most easing arrangement.
I agree, those two windows should be under the peak.

It screams “I built it myself, no permits required”.
Looks like a late 50s car maybe, 57-58 Ford?

or at least on the same side so the building has ‘Evil Eyes’. I guess that the car is an early comet, ‘ bout a 63.

I doubt I could build a structure half as put together, although I’d love the opportunity to try! I think the house is right past Gold Bar... But those little towns on highway 2 all blend together. Might have been Sultan
Yeah... I should have mentioned I actually have no idea what the car is haha

My vote on the car is a 1985 chrysler saratoga 2door coupe, like in the move adaptation of Holes, because FINS

The only option coming to mind
other than “horrendous taste” is that this was built by someone with leftover windows they had on hand.

I couldn’t do better either no doubt, but I can still smirk at it. Out there in the hills, I think there’s little regulation about what one can build. I’d be leery of structural integrity. This does not appear to be the work of an engineer or architect.
It’s a late 50s or early 60s American car of some sort, I bet.

This is my favorite house on Highway 2. Outside of Skykomish/Bering, right?

It was definitely some kind of house made from leftover parts that has subsequently been sort of "grandfathered in." It's also in an unincorporated location about 20 feet away from Highway 2.

Some of the parts might have even been found along said highway. I suppose it lacks plumbing, and the electrical system is fun.
Amusingly enough, I see windows that appear to be of no better quality on 7 figure builds in Bellevue.

Yeah, right around there. I’m glad it exists.
If you haven’t, drive about 5 miles past skykomish and take a left onto the Old Cascade Highway. It loops back over to highway 2, but about 2/3 of the way you’ll hit a small bridge going over a stream. There’s a little dirt road that’s easy to miss a few feet in front of the bridge. Drive down that and you'll reach a good-sized clearing. M akes for a great private campsite.

I’m guessing the lumber yard was running a 5 for 1 deal on mismatched factory second windows.

So the windows look like they were designed to match a roofline, but, from what I can tell from the picture, even if you move the to the right corners the angle of the windows is steeper than the pitch of the roof. Guess number “b” bought a bunch of windows from another project cheap, guess “c” just plain nuts

If they put the weird window on the side on the front right it would have angry Jeep eyes.
